The American Legion believes it is important that youth be trained concerning the basic ideals and principals of our governmental system to help ensure the survival of our republic. Through this unique citizenship training program, leaders help youth understand, comprehend and appreciate their roles as United Stales Citizens. Each summer, approximately 25,000 enthusiastic young women participate in Girts State sessions across the nation. At these sessions the delegates" study local, county and slate government processes. They do this by setting up their own miniature city, county and slate government and administer them according to the rules and procedures set by their particular state's n t L yLf'-'- i Canrfan Moore Tiffany Hanks I III1 Ia'KoV I .. lit'IISOII I'usi 'H.
