Preschool will begin for the children who arc already four or five years old on Tuesday, September 3rd at 11:35 a.m. (if eating lunch at school -- 12 p.m. if eating at home). This group will attend preschool on Monday and Tuesday of each w eek that school is in session. Children who are three years old will begin on Wednesday, September 4, at i 1:35 a.m. (If eating lunch at school -- 12 p.m. if eating at home). This younger class will attend preschool on Wednesday and Friday each week that school is in session. Number 34 Price $.40 Eurcka's annual Tintic Silver Festival was held last weekend and even though there was a low turn out, everyone seemed to have a good time. Friday was off to a good start with the Elkss Golf Tournament with 1 8 teams of 4 people each. The Silver City Reunion began along with Miss Tintic being held that night. There were seven contestants for Miss Tintic this year. They were Merriannc Nedreberg. Jcnnica Grimstead, Sarah Christensen, Emily Carter. Heather Zufelt, Lauren Sherwood, and Crystal Zufelt. They all did a wonderful job in both their talent and evening gown competitions. Lauren Sherwood of Elbcrta was crowned Miss Tintic. Emily Carter of Goshen was first attendant. Merriannc Nedreberg of Eureka was second attendant and Cry stal Zufelt of Eureka was third attendant. Congratulations girls! Saturday began early with the boy scout breakfast at 7am and the parade at 10 am. Although there wasn't a lot of entries this year, the parade was a lot of fun and the people in the parade did a wonderful job! Saturday was filled with concessions, museum lours, and old mine tours along with several reunions. If alcohol from perfume, medicine or a beverage drops on your wooden furniture, try rubbing it with silver polish, linseed oil or moistened cigar ash and then rewax the piece. We are inclined to believe those we do not know, because they have never deceived us.
