Paraho Elated withl Give Blood in Man Arrested for Wound Vernal Gty Police arrested a Clifton, Colo, man after he was treated at the Ashley Valley Medical Center for stab wounds to his groin area. City police officers were called at 3 a.m. Thursday by Estelle Bailey, 27, who claimed he had been stabbed in the groin by two men who attempted to steal the tools from his car. . After being treated at the hospital, evidence showed that Bailey could have inflicted the wound himself. Police Detective Dave Free said that Bailey had earlier in the week attempted to buy prescription drugs at local drug stores and thereforemayMve injured himselfjto receive pain killers. Bailey is being held at the Uintah County Jail on charges of attaining drugs fraud ulantly and issuing a false report. Paraho. Development U A 1 ; Former Basin DJ Nielson, 30, pleaded guilty Larry Melanie to Friday kidnapping Larson of Kaysville and taking her against her will to Nebraska. Nielson, a former radio announcer at the Vernal and Roosevelt stations and another station in Salt Lake, said he was badly- stoned on amphetimines and marijuana when he kidnapped Melanie on July 23. Before Nielson entered the guilty plea, U.S. District Judge David K. Winder warned him that he could get a sentence of life imprisonment. Nielson ' ran across Melanie at a convenience store where he had stopped because of car trouble. Nielson coaxed Melanie into helping him with his' car when he kidnapped her.
