This year's Public speaking winner was Tabitha Lazenby; she received first in the area contest and placed third in (he state competition. .This year, the Chapter decided to recognize members who improved extensively from the previous year. C'agnie Wilde and Zach Blazzard were honored as most improved members. They attended a high percentage of the ll;A activities and turned in every degree application. The Chapter would like to thank them for their improvement and achievements in the Chapter. At the end of the evening, the much anticipated banquet event finally tixik place: the swearing in of new Chapter officers. The new officers for this year are as follows: President: Chris Jorgenson; Zach Blazzard; Vice President; Tyson Page; Reporter; Tahitha I jenhy; Treasurer, Mindy Atkinson; Assistant Treasurer, Jacobson; Secretary; Krystal Wilde; Cagnic Kondcl Holton; Historian. Besty Fitzgerald; Parliamentarian; Justin Thomas, and Sentinel. Brian Frandsen. The chapter officers are excited for a New Year and would like lo thank Mr. Aplanalp, the previous officers, and Kristin Mcncil for all of their hard wink and officer addresses from iarris, Jan Schuman, Megan Kallam and Kristin McNeil. All of the addresses were magnificent and all of the FFA members 'will miss the outgoing officers. Another exciting event that look place at (he banquet was awarding the State IX'grcc recipients. The State Degree requires a member lo have iheir Chapter degree award, he a member of the F1:A for twenty-four months, complete iwo years of agricultural classes, invest at least SI .(XX) in iheir SAK. demonstrate leadership ability and help plan the Chapters Program of Activities. This year's recipients were Megan llallam. Jan Schuman and Kristin McNeil. A major part of the FFA is the Career Development F vents. These events help members to develop their public speaking skills, judging and communication skills. The creed contest is a CDF for first year niemhcis. The participant must memorie the Creed and present it in a panel of judges. The Chapter Creed speaker recipients were Kelsi Anderson and Nicki Wmlerton. They did a great Job at the area competition and the Chapter is proud of their accomplishments.
