Kristy also read When Jesse Came Across the Sea by Amy Hest. This is a story about a little girl who had the -- . i . .S opportunity to come to America, but had to leave her grandmother behind. After a very long wait and working hard to save enough money she was able to send for her grandmother, who wu able to join Jesse in this great country.
