Show Page A6 The Summit County Bee ReNee Crittenden brought one of the North Summit Heritage afghan's in and explained what each symbol rnpant, such as the old rock school house snd why each had been picked. That made the afghan more meaningful and it's obvious that a great deal of thought went into the planning. They are proud of it as they should be. They are on sale at the Coalville City Hall or you can contact ReNee or Joan Judd for North Summit Senior Citizens BY LOUISE WALLACE Hope you all had a pleasant Thanksgiving. We are thankful for our building and being able to meet our friends in iL We are thankful for the nice warm fire, too. As you all know, Woodrow Nielson has been cutting and carrying the wood and . laying the fire with a little help from others, of course, but this year he is happy to turn the hard chores over to two young men, Wesley and Wade Staples. They are Scouts of the year who split and stacked the wood and even did some painting for us. Thanks, fellows. I for one think that is a mighty fine Eagle Scout project. We are thankful that President Delia Griffith was with us again. Even if she isnt feeling 100 percent perfect (and who among us is?) she is up and going. It is said that the key to staying young is to stay active. Amy Shaw is one of those peo ple who believes that She not only stays busy but doesnt let a good talent go to waste either. We were privileged to have two of her most recent paintings on display Friday. It just happened that they were placed in front of a window and the light coming from behind them made them even more beautiful and brought the colors in the rocks and streams to life. The one of the little girl which she painted especially for her newest is truly precious.-Thunks- , for Amy, bringing them for us to more details. The price is $59 and if you are interested they will box and mail them for an extra $5. .What a great gift this would make, especially for those who have moved away but still think of Summit County as home. Did you notice in last weeks Bee that the South Summit Senior's have a new reporter? Welcome aboard, Cheri Beal. Now we can hear about our friends in the south as well as the north end of the oounty. Now that Thanksgiving is past, its time to think about Christmas. If you enjoy. Floyd Tyron stopped in one day last week and I forgot to give you his best wishes. Hes one busy fellow and couldnt stay for dinner that day but did stay long enough to play some pool with Grant Geary. However, he promised to come when he can spend the whole day with us.
