Doherty picked numerous great novels and had the students pick which one they would each like to read. Its a great activity, Doherty because they read a novel of their choice and then turn it into a second grade childrens book. Therefore, the childrens stories will all be different. But besides just said, words, illustrations were also put into the childrens stories. There had to be a total of five hand illustrated pictures in the story. The. band left on Friday at midnight in order to arrive in San , Francisco for the competition the next day. On Saturday they competed in the tournament in Golden Gate Bridge State Park.
