It has been along time since the Braves have beat up on the Cowboys and our boys'were looking for a little revenge. The JV boys got us started off to a good start with Dustin Reese winning 2 matches, Brandon Burke lost his match, and Matt Jacobson lost one match and-woone match. In the first quarter of the game, the Breves fought hard keeping the scree within two points. The second half of the game started, and the Braves knew that they had to get something going quick. Grantsville wasn't about to let this ' happen. As the final buzzer sounded, die Lady Braves had been defeated by the Cowboys. When Thursday, the 13th of January, rolled around, die Lady Braves were pumped and ready for the Gunnison Bulldogs. The game started at promptly at 7 p.m. The first quarter wu a slow start for both teams. Offensively, the Breves couldn't get on the scoreboard. The Brave's rebounding throughout most of the game wu good. Entering the locker room at halftime, the Braves were down by 6 points. The Lady Braves played tough; and the score wu tied at the end of the third quarter. The Braves made a great effort in the fourth quarter, scoring an outstanding 24 points. Despite the hustle of the girls, they weren't able to get on top. In the first quarter the Braves only scored 3 points and the Gunnison Bulldogs scored 10 points. Throughout the game the Braves' shots wouldn't go in the basket The rest of the game the Braves couldn't keep the intensity going. On . basketball Tuesday, Jan. 13, they took on the ' Grantsville Cowboys for the first time this season. They knew the game was going to be tough, but they were prepared for the challenge. The first half of the game was close and intense, leading to a half-tim-e score of 7 for the Cowboys. But the Lady Braves weren't ready to give up. They came out of the locker room fired-u- p and ' ready to play. The third quarter, the Braves defense was awesome, but their offense was even better.
