Herman Grandpa Cooley Charles Herman Cooley, age 101, and known throughout Kamas Valley as Grandpa, died Nov. 2, 1994, at his daughters residence in West Jordan. Born Feb. 24, 1893, in Mesa, AZ, the son of Osborn Benjamin and Francis Isabel! (Rodebach) Cooley. On April 4, 1917, he married Vimva Pearl Mills in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on Fd. 12, 1984. Active member of the LDS Church serving in two bishoprics, a stake mission, and a lifelong home teacher. He was past president of the water board in the Kamas area. Rancher and farmer in the Kamas Valley for most of Ns life. Survived by three daughters and Evelena C. two Burton, West Jordan; Rozella and sons-in-la- Bud Atkinson, West Jordan; LaReta and Morlin Van Tassell, Kamas; 20 grandchildren, 102 and 20 Preceded in death by his wife, and one son, Kenneth, a Junius Burton, and a grandson, Leland Jay Burton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the Kamas LDS Second Ward Chapel.
