Christmas is quickly approaching and it's time to begin looking for just the perfect gift for friends and family. It's also time for foe Utah State Hospital and Wasatch Mental Health to ask for help from the community in providing Christmas for over 300 patients. These patients are virtually alone at Christmas. They have very limited contact with family and would receive little or nothing at Christmas without community support The Forgotten Patient Christmas Project has been designed to help provide Christmas for these patients. If s success depends totally on community volunteers. There are a number of ways that we can use your help: we can provide you with the name and enough information to provide Christmas for a patient; money donations are accepted and hospital staff will do the shopping; some groups prefer to donate items for more than one patient (socks, underwear, candy, etc.); we are always happy to hear from a volunteer and glad to work with you in trying new ideas. The Forgotten Patient Christmas Project is often the only touch of the Holiday spirit these patients experience. Please fed die spirit of giving this holiday season and a forgotten patient sponsor For further information, call Shawna Peterson at 344-424- 3.
