Steve works at Ford, Bacon & Davis Engineering in Salt Lake. When asked why they live in Kamas and have two vehicles a day commuting to Salt Lake, Steve and Louise replied, We love the Kamas area, the peace, serenity, crystal clear skies, wildlife, and the family environ- ment make Kamas an ideal place to live. We feel that we belong here due to the friendliness of the people and the opportunity to really get acquainted with most of the people who live around us. This is a definite advantage to small town living. We have even learned to like the winters, but the other seasons are mag-nifice- The entire family enjoys attending the performing arts, vacationing together, reading voraciously, collecting antiques and nostalgic memoribilia, and outdoor sports. They have seven children: Hannah, age 13; Joshua, age 12; Daniel, age nine; Micah, age, eight; Jordan, age four; and twins. Monte and Jeff, age two. Rulon works as a general contractor. Kass enjoys quilting, doing yard work, oil painting, and sewing. She often sews blessing dresses for relatives. She also works as an alternate on the County Board of Adjustments.
