A The Spirit of Christmas (SSP) On December 17. 1985 at 7:30 p.tn. there was a fabulous performance at the South Summit High School, directed by Mrs. Paulette Sylvester. There was a dress rehearsel that afternoon at 1:00. This went well but the final performance went even better. The students in Tapestry. Sound Chaser, and Music Machine were nervous, but the performance went very smoothly. They went on and off the stage like pro's, and knew their parts very well. The program had elements of humor and at the same time seriousness. Mrs. Sylvester and her students always put a lot of hard work into their performances. There is obviously enormous amounts of talent in our community. Every person, young and old, hope that the coming year will be even better than the past year. New Year's Day is a day in which resolutions are made. This is a rather traditional happening. Most people can not keep their resolutions but it seems to make everyone feel better to make some sort of promise to themselves to do something. The funnest part' about the coming of the new year seems to be the evening prior to the first day of January. This is the night when people everywhere get together with friends and family to celebrate the coming of the new year. As the new year nears us, let us think of the many wonderful things the past year brought and what the future year may hold in store for all of us.
