Elk have been seen on the WMA but, as of Dec. 10. haven't found it necessary to visit the feeding area below the visitor center. There is ample natural forage available this year, so the elk probably won't show at the WMA's feeding area until the first significant snowfall. Currently there is only about three inches of snow at the WMA, so sleigh rides could not take place even if the elk were available to view in the feeding area. The WMA's sleigh rides, visitor center and cafe will open as soon as there is enough snow to allow for rides and to force the elk out of higher elevations and onto the feeding area. &ureka QXniied QHeikodtsi (Skurck Rev.
