Adult education THS happenings talk The Sunbeam Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their opening meeting Wed. Sept. 16 at the home of Marian Seamons. Our theme for the year is "You Make The Difference." QUALITY WHOLESALE HOMES Captain Joan Morris con- ducted the business. We hope to be able to dedicate our marker monument in the park, honoring all those who settled the Tintic District, by November. The lesson on Sevier County, was given by Marian Seamons. Those in attendance were Pat Aldrich, Virginia Bradford, Alice Fox, Carol Gourley, Cleo Judge, Georgia Laird, Sherlin Grill, Susan Fields, Joan Morris and Marian Seamons. After the meeting, a delicious luncheon was enjoyed by all. We would welcome new members. To qualify you must be a direct descendant of an immigrant Pioneer (one who came to Utah Territory before the coming of the Railroad May 10, 1869). Classes will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings each week from 8 p.m. The classes will be held in the Tintic High School business room. Anyone interested in working on their high school requirements for graduation are encouraged to attend. LouAnna Haynes is the adult education coordinator replacing Emron Tripp. Traci Snell will also be there to assist where needed with this program. "Alpenfesl", a group from Houston, Texas, entertained with Alpine music in the Oktoberfest Halle where the most scrumptious food was served. The setting for the festival at the beautiful Snowbird Resort, is really something to see. After these festivities, the threesome stopped by the McNulty home in Salt Lake City, to see Jim, Kristie and Connor. June, Colecn by RoseAnne Young So, whats up at Tintic, our baseball team, thats what. Theyve played 11 games, and theyve had eight wins. Only three losses. They played Salt Lake Lutheran here last Friday and beat them 26-Wow! Their next game is on the 25th against Dugway. Good luck boys. Now, what about the volleyball team? Were working hard and playing more like a team than we have for a while. Our next game is here on the 24th against ICS. we hope to see you there Good luck to you too girls.
