Individual camping reservations are now accepted up to 16 weeks prior to the date of departure from the park. Reservations for group sites may be made up to H months in advance of the groups date of arrival at the park. While the new policy will create some inconvenience in the short term. Reservation Manager Karen Marzo reports the new policy will better serve customers over the long term. "This is an effort to meet the needs of the majority of our customers and ensure an equal opportunity for reserving prime or desired sites on key weekends," said Marzo. Since her arrival at Utah State Parks last April, Marzo has significantly reduced call waiting ami handling times. She has instituted staffing strategies for high volume periods and has redeveloped reservation training with an emphasis on customer service. in addition, to better serve reservation hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, go into effect Monday, May 11, and continue through Labor Day.
