The charges stein from Lawrence's actions while acting as construction manager for the Juab County Building Authority, during (he construction of the new Juab County public safety buildthird-degre- Church Street, Eureka, UT j 5-d-ay 756-765- Re-mii- er ing. Lawrence Construction, founded by Lawrence's lather more than 36 years ago. hid on the county jail construction. All bids, including the one made by Lawrence. were over the amount the county could afford. Ijixvrence told commissioners if they would use the construction manager process, they would save the county $51X).(XK). According to Gordon Young, C ommission Chairman. "Those savings were an illusion." When the extra year it took Lawrence to construct the building was taken into account. Young said, there were no savings at all. Uiwrence was given a prison sentence, which was suspended. However. Judge Boyd L. y Park imposed a jail sentence to be served in the Juab County Jail. A court hearing was held in in the Neplii on Oct. 30, court of the Honorable Judge Williams, to determine the future disposition of the dog named lloocli. After hearing the evidence. Judge Williams ordered the owners. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Young. 31 E. Mam. Eureka, to build a kennel. 6 x 10' in width and depth, and no less than 6 ft. in height.
