May 15. when the Senior Citicns' Young-al-llcaClub met at the Memorial Building to honor Alice Fox as Senior Alice Ctlien of the Year looked beautiful and radiated pride and joy as she was surrounded by many members of her family who came to honor her. The entrance of the building, was cleverly decorated by Ix'ah Towers and Fidna Jasper, which took us back a lew years when the old style ice cream freeer, the round wash tub, (he good old serubbmg board, the coal oil lantern, and many other antique things that were used at that time were on display. The round table in the (oyer was used to display beautiful paintings, lovely crocheted items, liundknit articles, and other handcrafted treasures of the honored guest. President Ix'ah Towers conducted the meeting and called on Duane Fox to oiler the invocation after which, we all enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner prepared by Jcame Fields, with the help of Ix'ah Towers. A program prepared by the family of Alice, was as follows: Stella F.vans. the youngest daughter of Alice, aeted as M.C. Grace said they had been advised by the Six County Area Agency on Aging hoard, that the Furcka center will no longer he receiving help from (hem, effective July 1, 1W(. This matter will he discussed in depth at our next meeting. I feel certain that we'll find a solution lo this problem, so that we can keep our center in operation. Our meeting concluded and we hope Alice and family will remember this day for years to come.
