Blackpowder Pawnee Medicine took first place in the Puppy nine Bitch (six months-undand Best months) Puppy. She took third place in the Puppy Working Class group. Amme McBride and her mother, Letha Pierce, handled the dogs in the show ring. Amme handled Brutus while Letha handled Bear and Pawnee. When it was all over and done, Letha was heard telling her husband Terry, "I want to raise some of those toy dogs. Look at the size of their show ring compared to ours." Terry smiled and told her, "Youve had your exercise for the week." Everyone enjoyed themselves, especially Lea (age six), who enjoyed playing with many of the toy breeds. It was a novelty for her to be able to pick up a puppy and carry it around. er Spending the 4th of July weekend in Eureka at the home of "Grandma" and "Grandpa" Bernini, was Gregory Bernini of Salt Lake City. It was a busy four days for Greg as he and his friend, Brett Brewer, packed 8 days worth of activities into 4 days. Time was spent with "sleep-overs- ", barbecues, bike riding, the movie.. "The Lion King", rides on the fire truck and games SNOW BLOWER CHAIN SAW LAWN MOWER on the 4th, playing "catch" with a baseball, Legos, Nintendo, visits from other friends, Mass at St. Patricks, and keeping his grandparents "hopping" just trying to keep up with them and keeping their stomachs satisfied. The "4th" was topped off with dinner for the whole family.. David and Linda; Jim and Christine; plus the 2 boys; and finishing up with fireworks in the Bernini front yard. During the four days of busyness, Greg sustained only 2 abrasions.. one on his knee and one on his arm. Not too bad!! changes in the area.
