Because of the cost of maintain-take- n ing a city landfill according to the rules mandated by the State Envi- ronmental Divison of Solid Waste, Eureka City has contracted with Laidlaw for pickup and disposal of garbage within the City, effective Aug. 1, 1993. Containers for automated pickup will be distributed with information regarding the dates, time and types of waste which will be accepted.
