He also reported on the excit- ing reception they had received when they made their presentation the Utah Technology Confer- ence. Training for board members was scheduled March 22. Nedreberg also brought news to the board that Whitney Hyzer, a student at Tintic High School , was one of 15 finalists in the Scholastic Art and Writing Award competi- tion. His story, Mr. Green and Amazing Cheese Processor, was selected from 25,000 entries and will published in their maga- zine. George Aposhian, Jr., aeon- suiting civil engineer, outlined the structural problems with the old Tintic High School. He stated that because of all the windows and the way the joists are placed, it would extremely costly to stabilize the building. Currently, there is no strength in the outside walls, and it would be his contention that it would be more costly to renovate the building than to build a new one. However, he added , that if the district was interested in renovating, he would be happy to assist. Tintic Ladies of Elks way at the high school.
