Show Juab County commission At last week's commission meeting, Juab Commissioners County authorized Uintah Engineering Co. to act as county road engineering agent; discussed deputy sheriffs wages; and purchased a for Juab County Hospital. Uintah Engineering Co. was officially authorized as the county agent for all mini-comput- er road projects. The company was authorized to sign purchase to agreements buy Class B road equipment for the county in 1978. Bryan Harris of the Public Employees Association, met with the commissioners on behalf of several members of the sheriffs department, to discuss the wage rates for Juab County deputy sheriffs. Juab County wages are slightly under those of other counties of similar size. Commissioners took the matter under advisement and will make a determination by June 1. Leon Winter, civil defense director, reported that he had requisitioned two trucks, an ambulance and a generator from Army surplus for civil defense or fire use in the county. The commissioners signed a contract with Utah Power and Light Co. to supply lights to the town of Mammoth. Jim West, from the Utah Department mini-comput- er mini-comput- er of Transportation reported that $5,733 is available to Juab Coqnty under the Pedestrian Safety Program. Com- missioners agreed to investigate areas where these funds could be applied.
