Show Roosevelt Union High School, where he lettered in track (pole vault), O.B. continued on to Brigham YoungUni-versit- y for ono semester. In a pattern of brilliant impulse that would characterize the rest of his life, O.B. and his high school sweetheart, the incredibly lovely Margaret Carlson, eloped to Salt Lake City on January 13, 1956; their marriage was solemnized June 21, 1969, in the Oakland LDS Temple. Their love was blessed by the arrival of three children and seven grandchildren. In 1971, he moved hie family to the Uintah Basin to ranch and to sell investment real estate. O.B. was a always-smilin- g, gently dreamer-a- n never without-a-phon- e, 1956-1958- Lowell was bora in St George, Utah to Smith and Laura Bowler Leavitt on May 18, 1936. He met his Sweetheart of i years, Carol Eubanks, while in the Service in South Carolina. He earned the nickname of Good Hand" after many years of hard work in the oilfield. As a faithfhl member of the LDS Church, Lowell served in many positions, including the stake Presidency, the Bishopric, Sunday School, and many more. He was probably best known for his missionary work by example. Lowell hadsomanyfHenda thru his Church Service, Hunting, Breeding and Racing Quarter Horses and his great passion in life, Team Penning. He touched the lived of so many with his quick wit and generosity.; His great love oflife was passed on the all who knew him. thru his jokes, stories;, and tall tales. Scott Nello Scott, age 81, of Pleasant Valley, passed away unexpectedly September 4, 2001 at his home. He was bom March 17, 1920 in Mesa, Arizona to John and Eliza Western Scott. He married Dorothy Bates Scott May 28, 1941 in the Mesa LDS Temple. . He was raised in Gilbert, Arizona until age 10 when the family moved to Prrescott, Arizona. He worked many Jobs over the years starting with Western Union Telegram delivery boy ont bicycle, custom farming, gas plant, power company and dispatcher for 36 years for Arizona Public Service. He retired and moved to Utah to raise pheasants and tinker on a farm. He served as Bishop of the University Ward at Northern Arizona University in FlagBtaff. He loved scouting and served as Scout Master and Explorer Advisor. Many young men were able to participate in camps, trips and hikes because of his leadership. He will be missed by all for his stories. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of 60 years; children, Karen (Lonim) Stratton, Lubbock, TX; Gary (Sally) Scott, Snowflake, AZ; Howard (Darlene) Scott, Delta, UT; Martha Roger) Claybum, Bridgeland, UT; 22 grandchildren, 13 grandchildren-in-iaw- , 22 meat grandchildren, and a brother, Golden Scott, San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters. Funeral services held Monday, September 10, 2001, at 10 A.M. at the Myton LDS Church. They are so cute-soof them are little and cute. Then they drove over to the Frontier Caf6 and had dinner. Harold is on a very restricted diet. They had a hot turkey sandwich, a drink and a dish if ice cream, then took Harold back to the care center where patients have to be signed in and out. Doyle and J.D. Lisonbee were over to visit with her mother , Loa Hanson, on Sunday afternoon. They also visited with Harold Gee. Edyth Marett was out and spent this last weekend visiting with her mother, Lucille Wimmer. Edyth wanted to visit with her before she went back to her school job. Luge Lugenbell was in Salt Lake. He attended a funeral for a friend. While he was in Salt Lake, he went to visit his daughter, Peggy , who is now in a rehab center. Several weeks ago Peggy lost the useofhcrlgsand feet-s- he couldnt feel them, but Luge said that she is getti ng the feeling back in them. They found out that it was caused from some kind ofhouse spray she had used. Orinda Gee says she would like to get Harold Gee home on Sept. 10 if everything works out like they would like it to, but the center says no. Harold will be in the Stewarts Care and Rehab Center' two months on Sept. 9. Kari and Rommy Vanderheyden of me Roosevelt received word that Rommys sister in Holland was found lying on her kitchen floor. They figured that she had fallen and cut her head badly. Bob enjoyed participating as a member of the Duchesne Eagles, 1947 State championship basketball team. He enjoyed rock collecting, hunting and fishing. Bob was a retired truck driver.
