Vf '. .. r. : ' in Duchesne 4-- H County... alive and well thanks to volunteer leaders By Therena Morrill Horse Club is The Neola just one of 206 clubs in Duchesne County. Each club has at least cne aduit volunteer leader. Lee Ann Haslem is the adult volunteer leader for the Neola Horse Club. In the and summer, she meets spring with club members once a week at the Neola arena, helping them with various riding skills. The kids also learn how to care for and groom their animals, and howto care for their tack. In addition to riding classes, Horse Club also the Neola has a few service projects' every year. This year they have sold 4-- H I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, and my health to better living for my club, my community, my country, and my world." They've also provided a concession stand for the Neola Rodeo Royalty contest, and helped sell raffle tickets for the Neola 4" of July Rodeo. There are 25 kids enrolled the Neola club, which functions as an organized club, with a president, vice president, historian, secretary, and, perhaps most importantly, a treats chairman. The kids have all joined the club for different reasons, but most will tell you that they have a lot of fun.
