The custodial department is pleased to announce that two of our schools fThblona and Duchesne Elementary) have had their gym floors sanded, the game lines repainted and the new surfaces completely reflnlshed. Although we might be accused of being prejudiced, we feel that they turned out well and the logos, (If youll excuse us), are downright cool. In order to keep them looking this good, each school was presented with an autoscrubber which will dramatically help in maintaining their appearance while reducing manpower hours. At the beginning of the summer all custodians attended an workshop at which they underwent training ln the following areas: fire extinguishers, door hardware, gym floor maintenance, steam traps and driver training. Each year computers and our goal is to try to cover new and different aspects on a variety of subjects to keep our personnel updated on new trends arid to provide them with as much training as is possible. Entiyway one been area Is that has high on our list of priorities for the matting past year. It has been found that if matting la used for the first six steps inside a building, over 90 of the dirt on a person's shoes is caught. The bottom line is that it saves time and labor ami vastly improves a buildings appearance. And that is our goal. To promote community pride by maintaining facilities that not only are pleasing to the eye but at the same time facilitate better learning. all-da- y ail, in-dep- th Annual Bus Mileage for the d http:www.usoe.kl2.uLuscurredtechnewstandardsfllc3v3doc umenthtm.
