According to Duchesne County Sheriff Deputy Dale Johnson, around 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 11, the toddler's mother, Gavla Hamilton, was at Altamont park talking to a coach about the ball game schedule, when her tiny son wandered off. He was only gone a few seconds when Hamilton noticed he was missing. She began searching and found the boy in a water outlet about 30 feet from whereshe was standing. Coaches Jeff Samuels and Cory Austill began pcrfnrmingCPR on the boy and after a few minutes the child began to breathe. He was taken by ambulance to the Uintah Basin Medical Center where he was listed in good condition in the intensive care unit and later released. Johnson said that Samuels and Austill did a great job and deserve a pat on the back. If it wasnt for them, the results could have been a lot different, he stated. C7 t ft',- - Opps! California...
