Grant Ethel Wuh Grant, our loving mother, grandmother, great grand mother and aunt, age 85, of Fort Ducheane; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; numerous nephews and niece. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Tamblin 'Bounce Grant Mills and Jolanda Juanita Groves and a sister. Lulu Wash Brock. Funeral services held at 10 a m., Wednesday, Sept. 8 at the Ute Bap- tist Church. Burial in the Ft. Duchesne Cemetery. H.Wopsock i Henry Wopsock, age 92, died at his home Sept. 4, 1999. he was ban, July 4, 1907, Whiterocka, Utah to Johnson and Tuongige Wopsock. He married Laura Timm on Aug. 3, 1939, in Salt lakeCity, Utah. Laura passed away on Dec. 20, 1980. Henry served in the Navy during World War li serving in the Pacific he was a member of Episcopal Church in VernoL He waa a teacher at Whiterocks Boarding School, and other boarding schools. Henry was Advisor and Administrator of Indian Affairs, translator, Vice President of Ute Distribution, and gave advice on Legal affairs for Native Americans, and was member of the American Legion. Henry never had children of his own, but he took care of 105 children at the boarding school and considered them hifwn. Surviving companion Ann C. Anderson (Melody), brother John Wopsock of Whiterocks, and Various nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 outers and 2 brothers. Funeral services wen held on Saturday, Sept 11 at 11 a.m. at St Pauls Episcopal church. Burial in the .Vernal Memorial Pork under the direction of Thomson's Vernal Mortuary. i Mecham Donald H. Mecham. age 72, of Neola, passed away peacefully at hit home on Sunday, September 12. 1999, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was bom April 26, 1927 in Duchesne to LeGrand and Faye Hitchcock Mecham. He married Venice Nielson May 31, 1946 and their marriage waa later solemnised in the Provo LDS Temple on September 10, 1981. Don loved his family and eqjoyed his many wonderful friends. He also loved hunting, fishing and behorse dcing ing astride a well-tee- d the work of a cowboy. He is survived by wife Venice, of Needs; children, Donald Lee Dusty and Rita Mecham of Farmington, NM; Meda and John Paul Murphy, Logan; Darrell and Ann Mecham, Roosevelt; Vicky and Rex Krugman, Ridgcrest, CA; and Denny and Tammy Mecham of Vernal; 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Ona (Anthon) Rust, Altamont; Floyd (Doris) Mecham, Vernal; Glenn (Nelda) Mecham, Mountain Home; and Shirley (Fred) Lindsay, California. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Mecham and grandson, Shawn Duncan. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 16, 1999, 1 1 rOO AM, at the Neola LDS Church. Ho told com and visited friends and relatives. Mike and Tamers Casper and daughter just relumed from a week's vacation in Arisons, Bryce Canyon, and Grand Canyon. They visited Tamera's mother in Mean. Kent Eltenon and grandson spent a few days in Tabiona. They also attended the William Lewis family reunion. Bob and Vickie Taylor, Spanish Fork, spent the weekend inTabiona. Lorin and Jerry Allred, of Heber and Colorado, spent Saturday in Hanna. Mr. k Mrs. Charles Cummings, New Mexico, visited June and Beverly Roberta over the weekend. Charles is Beverlys brother. The John Riggs Roberts family held their reunion Monday at the Snooks Roberta pavilion. Ssw av s Gene Wallace Sweat .Sweat Gene Wallace Sweat age 71 passed away Friday, September 10, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born January 16, 1928 in Fniitland. Utah the son of Ervin Wallace and Lucy Ella Faucett Surest. On January 21, 1948 he married Marjorie R. Clark in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on Aprils, 1988. On June 29, 1991 he married Jeneon Taylor in Park City, Utah. Gene waa a wonderful husband and father, who eiuoyed spending time with his family. Ha also en- joyed brin; outdoors, especially his time fishing, and hunting. He ia preceded in death by his first wife, and brother Dewey Ervin Sweat. Survivors include wife, Jeneon T.
