The couple were married in the Bountiful Temple on May 10. guests included Mr. and Mrs. Dana Griffin, Chad Duncan; Jen Forrest; Mr. and Mrs. Randy Drummond, Mr. and Mrs. John Townsend; Trinctte Wesscly; and Emily Riddle, all from Provo, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Egli and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Egli from Garland; Elsie Jarvis and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lamb from Orem; those from Pleasant Grove were Mr. and Mrs. Tim Ekins. An Aunt Mrs. Pat Kecch and sons William and Richard and daughter Kaly and grandson Kevin, all from Phoenix, Arizona, also attended the Out-of-to- Loma McKee Paul and 247-235- 0 Shod Kitchen and family were visitors in Tridcll Sunday. They brought their son, Elder Joseph Kitchen from American Fork so he could speak in Sacrament Meeting. Elder Kitchen entered the MTC Wednesday prior to leaving for his mission to Uruguay. Thelma McKee flew to Norfolk, Virginia Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McKee to visit her and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Roberts. They attended the graduation of Glen from East Virginia Medical School where he graduated with top honors. They returned home Sunday night He will to into Family Practice. Margaret Elison went to Idaho Falls this past week to visit with her son Joseph Elison and family and to attend the Idaho Falls wedding of her grandson Michael. Visiting Monday and Tuesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rac Goodrich were their son Kerry Goodrich, West Jordan and friend, Mark Peterson. They were here to present on agriculture seminar in Vernal and Roosevelt Janet Mcrklcy went to Provo Tuesday to bring Esther Mcrkley home. Mrs. Mcrkley has been spending the past few weeks in Mantua, Utah with her daughter Dcon Richards. Mrs. Mcrklcy just her last medical completed treatment in Provo Tuesday. A number of parents with their Seniors attended the award assembly May 14, at the Uintah High School. Receiving awards and scholarships from Tridcll were: Joshua Mcrkley who received a $935.00 scholarship - Ricks UREA College; $500.00 scholarship and a $250.00 Uintah grand-daught- soil er Conservation District Clint McKee -scholarship. $1,000.00 - Woodey B. Searle scholarship, and a $250.00 Uintah Soil Conservation District Deana Young scholarship. $1000,00 Uintah Basin Telephone scholarship and a presidential award for education excellence. Both the Naomi Chapter ladies are from the Duvcromy Chapter of the Eastern Star. On May 4, the ladies went to Montrose, Colorado to attend the Silver Shar Chapter 40 for the CokxadcUlah exchange for the official visit of the WGM and WGP. They stayed in Colorado for one day before returning to Roosevelt. Thora Yack was treated to lunch May 10, to celebrate her May birthday. Several ladies joined in to wish her the very best of everything. Visiting Roosevelt during the week of May 13, were Lester and ' Mary Cottrell, former basinites, but now residing in Canyon City, Colorado. The Cottrells were in the area since their son Ron Atwood, from Indian Bench, had surgery in Salt Lake City. While in the basin, the Cottrells also visited with their daughter Patsy Pa try and also friend Stella Harmston. The Saturday Birthday Club held their April party at the Virginia Houston home in Bennett, Utah. Since there were no birthdays in April, they had a No dinner. Guest for the day was Gail Allred. The May Party was held on May 18Ui at the Frontier Grill. Guests for the party were Jean Ponton; Peggy Mitchell ami Glenda Killian. Richard Harmston was recently in the Roosevelt area where he taught ' classes at the USU Extension. 1 While here, he visited with Stella Harmston mid the Jack Harmstons, before leaving for his home in Salt Lake City. 2 Sad news was received by the Lawrence Yacks last Wednesday. 3 Bill Edge Jcnnis brother-in-la? died of a heart attack while getting ready to go fishing. Mr. Edge was married to the former Verda Mae VJ Chivers, formerly from Vernal, . i Utah. In Utah to celebrate their 50th anniversary at a family dinner party in Bountiful were also Merle Roberts Edwards and Charles, Arva Rose Robots, Orman and Bob, all former Basin residents. Leon and Peppy Claybum of Bridgcland had ho folks Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hclqucsi of Whiterocks down to spend Mother's Day with them. Reed and Joy Claybum and Joe and Lil Claybum of Bridgdand all attended the funeral for a cousin Donna Hancock Graff in Orem this last week. Mike and Jean BIcazard of Bridgeland had Jean's parents The R dy Killpack's up from Perrin for Motho's Day. Their daughto Carrie and ho girl friend of Cedar City was also home over the weekend. Cecil and Carol Hanberg of Bridgeland had their daughto Karren and Jason Larson of Orem, home for mothos Day. George and Vol Nelson was up to Ogden for a couple of days this last week, keeping Dr. Apts. Jennie Mcrklcy had ho son, Marvin Jones out from Salt Lake to spend the night with ho. He helped her with some wato works. Ada Thomas was a dinner guest at the home of ho daughter Wilda & John Stevensen, in Altamont for Mothos Day. Sam and Mona Dean McGinnis of Duchesne, was in Salt Lake over this last weekend to help ho father celebrate his birthday. He is Roy Rindflusch. Elmo and Maxine Thomas had ho daughter Goldie Haws of Loma Co. over to spend mothers day with them. The two girls spent a day in Salt Lake. Ron Tollefson of Vernal took his folks Bill and Veva Tollefson into on Tuesday 14. Bill will Salt be spending a few days in the VA Hospital. He will have eye surgery while he is there. Jennie Mcrklcy was in Salt Lake In the Magna Spencer 1st Ward Sunday, May 19, the missionary testimonial meeting was held for Janclle Spencer the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rawlin Spencer. Glen Spencer of Vernal and his mother Zola Spencer attended the meeting along with Spencer relatives of Magna, Kearns, Provo, Salt Lake, and Redding Calif. Janelle will enter the MTC May 28, and will be serving her mission in Arizona as a temple guide. After the meeting 80 people were served a luncheon at the Spracer home. A birthday party was held for Deloy Duncan, Myron Duncan, and Hank Swain, at die Duncan Park. Their birthdays were 13, 14 and 15th of May. They had a dinner and a program was presented, with Lois Swain in charge. A piano selection by Carolyn Haslcm, Duncan sang two Whitney numbers. Nathan Duncan sang two numbers. They crowned the ones that had a birthday, Dcloy's wife gave a sketch of his life, Myrons 2 boys each told some interesting things about their dad. Myrons wife Marylin, gave a sketch of Myrons life, and Lois Swain gave a sketch of Hanks life. Out of town guests were Dan and Lany Swain, Clay Swain and his wife and baby. Sunday, May 19, in Orem a missionary testimonial meeting was held for Ronalynn Petersen, the daughter of Wade and Karen Petersen, Arven and Delphia Moon and his brother Alton Moon and wife travelled to Orem Sunday for the meeting, Ronalynn will rater the MTC in two weeks. She will fill her mission in Madrid Spain, after the meeting a luncheon was served at the Peterson home to 70 friends mid relatives. Wednesday. Dranie was bom July 1, 1968 in Roosevelt, the son of Gale Wilkins and Bette Springer. He married Michelle Huber July 3, 1993 in LaPoint. Dranie was a member of the Church erf Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
