Funeral services were held Friday, May 17 at the Roosevelt 4 th Ward LDS Church. in the Cedarview Burial Cemetery under the direction of the Hullinger-Olpi- n Mortuary. has many beautiful paintings and has won a number of awards. She was a member of the BPW Club for over 25 years and in 1984 was chosen as "Woman of the Year". She was also a member of the Culture Club and has served in all offices and was a member of the DUP. She loved to do crafts, play golf, and travel. Our mother was truly a "treasure". She was generous to a fault and worshipped the ground our father walked on. Now they are together again, and it brings us great joy. We will miss them both, but know we will be a family again me L. Sylvan Reid Tillie Reynolds S. Reynolds Sylvan Reid "Tillie" Reynolds, 71, Roosevelt, best friend, sweetheart and grandpa passed iway Wednesday, May 15, IM the Uintah Basin Medical Center of heart failure. He was bom November 11, 1924 in Vernal, UT to Carlyle and Bumctta Mullins Reynolds. He married Wanda Massey July 14, 1944; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Sylvan was known as Tillie the Barber" for almost SO years in Roosevelt. He was lead trumpet player in the Reynolds Orchestra. He loved golf, his horses and birds and his friends and family. He was an active member erf the LDS Church, a High Priest, serving in the High Council, Stake Sunday School President in 2 stakes, and was a Stake Missionary. He is survived by his wife, sons and Wanda, Roosevelt; spouses, Terry and Gwen Reynolds, and Robin and Susan Reynolds, all Roosevelt; brother, Merlyn and Frances Reynolds, Roosevelt; sister, Valoy and Blake Esauk, Las Vegas, NV; 6 grandsons & 2 granddaughters which were his crowning glory. He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard and LaVaur sister, Sorenson. Funeral services were held Monday, May 20 in the Roosevelt East Stake Center. Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park under the direction of the Hullinger-Olpi- n Mortuary. Carlson Our beautiful treasure, beloved dearest mother, grandmother, friend, has at last returned to Heavenly Father and her eternal companion. Her suffering is over, she is now at rest. Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park under the direction of the Hullinger-Olpi- n Mutuary. Chance John Wallace i C. Wallace Chance John Wallace, 9 month old son of LeRoy A. and Lisa D. Opsahl Wallace, Utahn, died May 13, 1996. He was bom August 11, 1995, in Wichita, Kansas. Chance was a very happy baby. Everyone that knew him loved him and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by grandparents, Dianne and Carl Anderson, Roosevelt; and Rick Opsahl, Neola. Funeral services were held at the Duchesne Stake on Center Thursday. May 16. 1996. Burial in the Utahn Cemetery under the direction of the Hullinger-Olpi- Merle LuGene "Gene" Bell Our mother was blessed with many talents. She was a beautician, a seamstress and did alterations. She was a talented musician, played the piano in her church and community for most of her life. For many years she served her church as stake organist, ward organist, and worked in all of the church auxiliaries. She was . the accompanist at the Roosevelt Elementary School for 3 years. She taught piano for 10 years. She attended Utah State for Continuing Education in Art and Fine Arts. She M. M. Bell grandchildren. ' R. Ridley L. Monday, May 13, 1996. Her ccat1 the a stroke December 10, 199S. She was 83 years old. She was the only child of Earl W. and Ruth C. Betts Gail. She was bom October 14, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Thure E. Carlson, June 8, 1932 in Holladay, Utah; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her parents, husband and infant son, Gail, preceded her in death. Lillian is the mother of six children, Thure Gail, Lloyd and Maura Carlson, El Segundo, CA; O.B. and Margaret Oberhansly, SLC, UT; Nels Carlson, Roosevelt, UT; Arlo and Ruth Ann McKee, Ogden, UT, Jon and Linda Bingham, Neola, UT; 25 grandchildren; 16 great n , Lucy promise. Funeral to.tetp Quintana, Teve Ortega, Mary Campos, Molly Logan and Lucy Quintana and an infant sister. Funeral held Monday, May 20, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moon Lake LDS Ward Chapel. Randolph "Hobey" Ridley, age 39, of Farm Creek, died Tuesday, May 14, 1996 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was born July 31, 1956 in Rooeevelt to Richard and Daria UncaSam Ridley. Hobey enjoyed ranching and forming and in his spore time liked to hunt and fish ("he liked to catch 'am but didn't like to eat am"). Hie favorite sport, however, was rodeoing, especially saiile bronc riding. Ha is survived by a son. Corona Harris, Whiterocks; brothers, Tommy and Zane Ridley, both Whiterocks; sisters, Patsy Ridley, Whiterocks, Zoiette Gain, North Dakota, Louise Burson and Debra Ridley, both Ft Duchesne; and numerous auiits, uncles, cousin, nephews and nieces. Graveside services held at 1:00 p.m, Saturday, May 18th at the Red Cedar Knoll Cemetery in Farm Creek under the direction erf the Hullinger-OlpiMortuary. day. Maralyn was endowed in the Salt Lake Temple, February 18, 1992. Survived by husband, Bab, Salt Lake City; eon John (Merit) Clark, West Jordan; daughter, Debora (Robert) Gee, Salt Lake City; 8 34 Merle LuGene "Gene" Bell, 70, of Roosevelt, died Tuesday, May 14, 1996 at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was bom November 13, 1925 in Gering, Nebraska to Arthur Ed man and Cora Edith Smalley Bell. . He married Mary Magdalene Lund December 9, 1961 in Elko, Nevada. Gene joined the U. S. Navy on his 17th birthday and served during WWII and was honorably discharged January 20, 1946. During nis military tenure he served aboard the USS Cincinnati. He worked, later for the government and in later years was disabled. He is survived by brothers, Daniel Arthur Bell, Ralph C. McPherson, Seattle, WA, Robert McPherson. Myton. and, a sister. one greatmother, Bernece grandchildren; grandchild; . Atwood, Altamont; brothers, Paul and David Atwood; sisters, Marva Eloyce Allred, Carina Berrett and ' Gloria Mansfield. Preceded in death by father, LaVon R. Atwood. With our love, we return her to her father. Fenn, Funeral services were held L Quintana Christensen LaFrance LaFrance Lucy L Quintana Christensen LaFrance, age 71, of Rooeevelt died May 16, 1996 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center. She was born April 2, 1925 in Saguache, Colorado to Felix and Grecian Salas Quintana. She married Earl Christensen April 22, 1943 and he died August 5, 1967. She married Kick LaFrance and later divorced. She enjoyed traveling, camping and cooking, but moat of all hieing with her n Card Of Thanks The family of Verlen Von Labrum wishes to express a heartfelt thanksto(l) the Uintah Care Center staff for their companionate care during hie last months; and (2) friends and family members who showed their love and kindness to him throughout his illneu, who helped him with transportation and comforted and cheered him children ana grandchildren.
