The building was originally going to be called the Crossroads Senior By Lezkse E. Whiting . A group of citizens has proposed erecting SO flag poles around the perimeter of the Roosevelt City cemetery in honor of veterans buried at the cemetery. The poles would cany the flags of afi SO states and be flown on appropriate holidays and during burial services for veterans. A brass plaque paying tribute to local veterans would be prominently placed at the cemetery. Those speaking in behalf of the citizen's committee said they will raise the funds to complete the project and would not need financial assistance from the city, nor expect them to provide any maintenance. The city council agreed to allow the citizen's committee to proceed with plans for the project In other business during their regular meeting last week, the .council approved a funding measure to contract with Liquid Engineering Corp. for the inspection, cleaning and repairs for two water storage tanks which have been leaking. The city estimates water savings will soon pay for the cost of the needed repairs. Dog License Fees & Fines Going Up It will cost a little more to license your dogs in the near future, and to pay to bail them out of doggie jail if the animal' is picked up by animal control City council members have proposed a resolution which increases license fees from $10 to $25 for dogs which havent been 'spayed or neutered, and from $5 to $15 for dogs which have been spayed or neutered. Impound fines will be set at $30 for the first offense, $50 for the second offense.
