Parents Complain of Health Risks WAGE RJHS gets a clean bill of health after mop up By Ann Colton The decision to resume rlnsmts Junior High School on Monday, Oct 80, lud several parents upset and soma students complaining of minor maladies brought on by the unpleasant odor which permeated the school, but district administrators insist sewage problems still present at the school did not pose a health threat to students or staff. School administrators made the decision to cancel school last Friday, Oct 27, due to a severe sewage backup, but opted to resume classes the following Monday although the problem continued to linger. Uintah Basin District Health Department inspector, Ken Carroll agreed with their decision, saving the maintenance crew did a thorough job of sanitising the school while the problem wasbeing brought under control. According to principal JD. Mitchell, this crew disinfects with an agent called Sanaxide, which is supposed to dean thoroughly. Crews also went over everything again Just to make sure that anything touched by the sewage was properly cleaned. Mitchell also said all bathrooms were in working order on Monday and lunch was served.
