November 1. 1994 Thursday, October 14, Sharleen Goodrich joined her sister, Marilyn Brown, Spanish Fork, at the Salt Lake airport to fly to Okinawa via Los Angles and the floating airport of Osaka, Japan, then on to Okinawa where they visited with Marilyns son, Lee, and wife, Edith Brown. Lee is employed fay Hill Air Force Base and is assigned to Okinawa. The Browns' two week old baby boy was blessed in the military base LDS branch while they were there. The two sisters said they eiyoyed a week of sightseeing, shopping and even an experience of snorkeling in the ocean with the Browns before here Monday, flying home-arriv- ing October 24. Leland F. Warr, Senior, Centerville, father of Dennis Warr, died October 19 in Centerville. Memorial services were held October 24. Allen and Debbie Lindsay and family and Doug and Doug and and Linda Ginas. Robert Casper and Niclde and Duston, Salt Lake, spent four days in Tabiana visiting Elthora Casper. Randy Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Williams, was killed in a car acddent Saturday night in Utahn. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Humphrey and family, Salt Lake, spent the weekend in Hanna visiting and hunting. Kelly Mezenen and a friend visited Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Roberta and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Casper and California, came to visit Chink for a week and take him to Provo for his treatments every day. Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler Oliphant and family, Salt Lake, spent a few days in Hanna hunting. Wayne and Jerry Griffis, Salt Lake, spent tire weekend visiting and hunting at the home of Dale Bishop Ted and Elaine Happen and Elizabeth Parry. The Maloneys had a small reception for family in Salt Lake following the ceremony. On Tuesday, October 25, they had a reception with dancing at the Senior Citizen's Center. The Maloneys will five in Altonah. On Sunday, October 23, Paul and Yvonne Bird, Rae and Glenda Jenkins attended sacrament meeting in the LDS Ward of their niece, Pat, and husband, Neil Davis, in Ogden in order to hear the Davises son, Kurt, speak prior to his departure on an LDS misaion to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Kurt is a grandson of Bud and Hazel Jackson. Hazel is Raes and Paul's older sister, formerly of Bluebell. The Altamont High School volleyball team traveled to Cedar City to participate in the state volleyball tournament after placing fourth in region play Thursday. They played their first game Friday, October 28. from October 20 in Tabiona. Bonnie Ostler and Dnrick Mezenen viritsd relatives in Hanna Wednesday. -- On Tuesday, October 25, several ladies met at the Frontier Grill to celebrate Fern Jensens birthday fay treating her to lunch. The ladies completed the luncheon with a rendition of the "Happy Birthday" song for Fern. family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Kim Jones, Salt Lake, spent the weekend in Tab- iana. Mr. and Mrs. Eari Cummings, New Mexico, stopped in Hanna for a day on their way to Salt Lake for the funeral of Earls sister, Annabels, husband, who passed away in Salt Members ofthe team from Bluebell are Shaynna Marshall (Robert and Susan) and Rachel Tew (Craig and Bonnie). Elizbeth Parrys mother, Eunice Pace, is hen visiting with Allen, Elizabeth and family while her husband, James, returns to Aldion, New York, for the remainder of. their household goods in their move to Salt Lake. Tami Kappen came home Thursday for a weekend visit with her parents, Ted and Elaine Kappen, from Snow College in Ephraim. Lake. Viola and Gono Defa spent a few days in Salt Lake visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Delyle Giles, Salt Lakat spent a fow days in Hama and Tabiona visiting friends and rsla-tiV- W June and Kenneth Carroll said they wish to thank evsryone in the Uintah Basin, from Hanna to Vernal, for the kindness and concern shown to them during the , past couple months while Kenneth underwent surgery and his recuperation. Kenneth had undergone replacement hip surgery this past August at the LDS Hospital. After surgery, he had to return to the , hospital October 10 for a check-uand the doctor noticed he had a blood dot Sot he had to remain in the LDS Hospital until October 15. He went to the Salt Lake Clinic for the last part of another check-up, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Rhoades and family, Prow, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen McNeil, Salt Lake, visited Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Rhoodes and family for a fow days. His maternal grandparents arc Gerald and Cynthia Turner, Salt Lake. His great grandparents are Ruth Turner, Salt Lake; Elizabeth Stapleton, Naola; and Mary M. Wilaon, Midland, Pennsylvania. Carolyn Holder, Montana, and her sister, Janet Roothoff and four children, Sandy, spent the weekend with their parents, Glen and Barbara Pratt. Coleen Gardner, Naola; Margie Gardner Harrison, Orem; Marilyn Millar, Salt Lake; and Mary Leavitt Blain, Kearns, all met at Park City and spent time Wednesday, October 19, mid Thursday, October 20, at Coleen their annual reports they had a joyftil time. Parley and Eariene Smart left Thursday, October 20, for Provo and spent the night with a daughter, Suzanne Thacker, and family. On Friday they visited a' daughter, Jacqui Smart, and a son, Jamas Smart, and family. Parlay attended the USU Homecoming football game. They returned home Sunday, October 23. Their family helped Frank and Glenda with tha roundup, and they also went hunting. To all friends and family of Aaron White, Flagstaff Arizona: Aaron has published hie second tape of' contemporary Indian music entitled "Burning 8ky," which is published by Canyon. Wanda Baatian, Carol Helquist, VaLoia Morrill, Ednal Simmons, Beth Gray, Zella Pike, Clareen Symonda and Mary Lynn Hoopes drove to Provo Temple last Monday and did two sessions in the temple. The ladies then ate dinner and returned home. Norman and Clareen Symonds have moved to Farm Creek from their former home in Bountiful. Norman is retired, and tha Symonds plan to make their home in this area.
