Marylin and her daughter Amanda spent a week with Allison and Kirk, returning home Sunday November 21. On Friday November 5, Rouel, Bev, Ty, Danielle and Bret Henris drove to Springdale to stay overnight with Bovs mother, Alta Petty and husband Bryant The following day they attended the Union High School Football game at Pineview to watch their son Brandon play. They met up with son Shane and cousin, Tony Booksby. They spent the night at Bevh sister, Connie Kellers to attend the blessing far Kellersnew son on Sunday, November 7. After Sacrament Meeting they returned home. Friday, November 1 Rouel, Bev, and Danielle spent the night at Bovs ReiLea Brooksbys in American Fork. They visited with the fiunily that night because it was ReiLeas wedding the next day in the Salt Lake Temple and the Henries were not able to attend because of the Union game at Cedar City. Saturday morning they traveled to the game and met up with aim Shane again, after the game they returned home. Then on Friday November 19, Rouel, Bev,' Danielle and Irene Henrie traveled to Salt Lake City far the high school State football strip game for Union. They met with Shane and Tony Brooksby and Rouels sisters Shariet and Sherene and Jay Whiting at the game. Union won all their games of course. Spending came time with Ralph and Verona Prescott a week ago, was their daughter Cindy and Bruce Sorensen of Hyrum, Utah. While together they celebrated Cindys birthday which is November 18 at Lynn and Given Pres- Soren and Karen Nielsen and two ana Ejjom and Soren Jr. traveled to Rivorton Sunday, November 21, to attend a mission report meeting far a nephew, Brandon Brooth ion of Karen and Brent Brooth. He fined hie million in Ireland. After the services a large group of relative and friends met at the Brooth home and enjoyed a dinner. While visiting was the major pastime, Bill and Margo went out to dinner several times and also had time for a few shows. One night they attended the National Senior Finals. Ofinteresttotho local community, they saw Sherwood Cuch from Fort Duchesne as he was a 1993 finalist in the National Bareback Rider Championship. Mr. Cuch had accumulated 2142 paints and the next in line had 1657 paints. Bill reportedly eqjqyed his stay in Reno but was very happy to return to Rooeevelt last Thursday. They an joined Randy and Judys family fir dinner. Saturday, November 20, the Kings Peak Muzzle Loader Club sponeored a turkey shoot with all participants being awarded a turkey. The 25 or so shooters kept things going pretty lively for sometime. Amy Winkler, who is attending College of Southern Utah in Cedar City, cams home for the "National Turkey Day" celebration, Saturday, November 20, as did Jessica and Jarod Jenkins from Snow College in Ephraim. Rush, Shana Lee, Cay and Sami Loertscher left Wednesday morning, November 24, to travel to the Pro-Rod- Bernard and Karen Duke and children of Farmington for the traditional east. Kurt and Jackie Loertecher came Wednesday evening to go Christmas tree hunting Thursday then an to Midway to join the teat of the Loertechers for dinner. Paul, Yvonne, and Duane Bird hosted dinner for the Dan and Naomi Bird family and eon, David, and hie friend Scott, from Salt Christine Nation rode with her daughter Vickie Fitzgerald to Logan to spend same time with Vickies daughter Krista and Kelly Keddington who had a baby son bom to them. The Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner on November 18 was very well attended. They thank every me that came. They fixed approximately 150, plus approximately 35 takeouts. The Seniors are thrilled to have Tami Mullins as their Director. The seniors gave away six turkey's at dinner. The cooks Jean Landers and Janet Heed and Noma Murphy for the day really put on a food. The altamont group joined the seniors. Two turkeys were given away at the bingo game on Wednesday the 17th. Elaine Carter sang a couple of songs. The seniors will have their Christmas dinner again on the 23rd of December at the Duchesne Center. The next bingo will be on December 1, and dinner will be December 2. The November Daughters of Pioneers was held at the D.U.P. building in Duchesne on Monday the 15th at pm. The hostesses were Bernice Broadhead and OrindaGee. Lesson given by Thelda Halstead "Poets and Poetry." There were 14 members present. The December Meeting will be held on December 18 at the D.U.P. Building. Her daughter Debbie came from Los Angeles to be with her. They were gone for a week. Kathy Eggen has been in the Duchesne County Hospital for several days. Her Mood sugar was high. Marvella Wilkerson was in Salt Lake last Thursday for her six month check up. Her doctor said she was doing great. Lori Tdlefoon of Provo has been out to spend the weekend with her folks Bruce and Darlene Tollefson. Lori is going to school in Provo and also working. Sondra Nielson and her twin eons and her two small children of Lemington have been spending same time with her folks Dean and Prim Petereon. They will stay until after Thanksgiving. Dee Thomas flew down from Alaska where he has been transferred on hisjob. He has visited with his parents Elwin and Lena Thomas also his sister Vicki and Tim Voss and fiunily, that flew up from. Carol McKee was hostess to the Friendship Club on Monday the 22nd at the home of her friend Sue Wilde in ducheans. She served a desert and they played bingo for an hour. There were 18 members present. Jennie Merkley had her grandson Marty Giles, Iris wife, and little girl out from West Valley. They visited with his grandmother while then were hunting for a few days.
