Stan Young, basketball coach at Duchesne High School, has been named Utah High School Activities Association. Tuesday, November 2 resulted in no scores of Friday and Saturday football and volleyball games appearing in this weeks newspaper. The paper was printed Friday. Games from those days will appear in the next newspaper. 1-- By Aldon Rachele meet getting to be a habit for Duchesne High School as for the fourth time in the past four years an Eagle runner is the State Cross Country champion. Joining past Duchesne title winners is freshman, Cody Moat, who netted top honors at the meet, which was run on the Sugarhouse Park course in Salt Lake City, Wednesday, October 27. Moat, who is the son of Dave and RoLayne Moat, is a brother ofBrandon Moat a state crown winner in 1991 and 1992. Duchesnes Conley Moon won the 1990 title. Cody posted a winning time of 16:26.3 and finished ahead of second placer, Juan Peres of Dugway, who recorded a 16:34.0 tally. Placing third was Health Dehart, Enterprise, at 16:39.8. Mark Garcia, St. Joeeph, nabbed fourth at 16:43.1 and Bennie Atene, Monument Valley. finished fifth at 16:43.8. Tom Han rah an, St Joseph, snaredsixth at 17:13.0, and Jason Moore, Dugway, placed seventh at 17: 19.3.
