Jennie Merkley joined her family as they traveled to Charleston, where they held the Chatwin family reunion. Alice Firth passed away recently. She was a member of the Duchesne Friendship Club for many yean. She will be missed. Sunday, June 7, Humbertos and Linda Ptena had their son, Christin, and their daughter, Sylvia, confirmed. They then had their baby girl blessed by Lindas brother, Harsour John, and given the name of Hufemia Abril. Elva and Shelby Li son bee, also ran ad Emily Lisonbee of Salt Lake, were visited in Bridgeland Sunday, June 7. Mr. and Mrs. Shon Jensen, Provo, was visiting with their grandmother, Ines Swasey Sunday of last week. George and Edyth Mantt had their two granddaughters visiting with them. Sunny Farnsworth is a daughter of JefT and Kathy Marett, Tooele, and Alissa Kay is the daughter of Dennis and Annette Kay, St. George. Harold and Orinda Gee drove to Kenilworth Sunday after church. They went to have dinner with their friend, Margaret Leach, who has sold her home and is moving to Pasco, Wash., to make her home by 1906. Max Burdick, Roosevelt who was raised in Bluebell, died recently. His funeral was held in Roosevelt and he was buried in the Bluebell cemetery at the side of his father, Lyman Burdick. 24-in- ch Bluebell. Phillip Todd is home from USU and has summer employment with the Forest Service in the area. The Altamont Stake Young Women had their annual camp at the Uintah Camp Grounds. Girls participating were Donya and Jenny Bolton, Jessie and Tiffany Bird, Tara Cook, Mindy, Elizabeth and Francine Winkler, Audra Harris, Tami Kappen, Rhonda Miles, Rachel Tew, Michelle Olsen, Mindy Adams, and Shayna Marshall. Their leaders were Susan Marshall, Elizabeth Parry and Carolyn Bird, with Cindy Carlson as camp specialist LaRae McDonald is here with her mother, Velma Mousen, since Tuesday. Bob and Penny Shaw and family traveled to Placerville, Calif, last weekend for the Robert Shaw reunion. Their daughter, Kathy and Joe Galvin, were in charge. Friends, Amanda Babcock and Forest Tingey traveled with the Shaws. Lisa went with a group ofstudents from Union Ugh School to Germany and other surrounding countries. They took a boat ride on the Rhine. They went to Berlin and saw "Check Point Charlie." They went on many tours, p including the Abby of Maria of the Sound of Music. Lisa had taken German throughout her school years, and fulfilled several requirements before qualifying to go on the trip. Lisa is the daughter of Earl and Carma Allred. Myron Accuttoroop is now home from the hospital after suffering a heart attack. He is doing very well. They were house guests at the home of Jack and Card Doherty of Long Island, New York. They attended a honoring the family Loertscher newlyweds at the home of Jackies eldest sister, Terry and Bob Nicdette of Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island. They visited the Empire State Building, rode the Station Island Ferry, and did some shopping. Sunday, the family, plus Kurt and Jackie, went to Jackies LDS home ward where Rush had served as a missionary 28 years ago. The building was constructed from materials originally used at the New Yorks Worlds Fair Mormon Pavilion of 1962-83- . The Loertachers returned home Monday night, June 15, met by Beth and Pauline. Allen and Elizabeth Parry and children, Ammon, Mari ah and Jacob, drove to Medina, New York where they spent a couple of weeks at the home of her parents, James and Eunice Pace. They visited Palmyra and Niagara Falls. Allen and Ammon fished in Lake Ontario, where they caught a trout. Johnny Secrest and Teresa Jenkins were married Friday, June 12, in Altamont. A reception in their honor was held following the ceremony, at which Bishop Mark Mon sen officiated in the Altamont stake center. Teresas attendants were her sister, Glenda, Mindy Winkler, Linda Lamb and Roxie Sicrest, sister of the groom. Best men were Kelly Smith and Lee Jeppson. Curtis Allred, Teresas mother Rae Jenkins, and Johnnys parents greeted guests in the reception line. The young couple is making a home in the south of removed.
