We wish Public meeting on 1991 fishing proclamation, Friday, Sept. 28 Friday, September 28, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will hold a public meeting. This will give anglers a chance to comment and provide their input on the proposed 1991 fishing recommendations before the Division presents it to the wildlife Board For its consideration. The meeting will ba held Friday, September 28, at 7:00 p.m. in the Uintah County Council Chambers, 152 East 100 North in Vernal. Proposed changes for the Northeastern Region include: 1. Standardise date for closures to protect cutthroat spawners. Proclamation would read: Closed January 1 through 6:00 ajn. July 13, 1991. On Flaming Gorge Reservoir it has been suggested that the bass limit (in the Utah portion of the reservoir) be increased from 6 to 10 largemouth andor smallmouth ban. Wyoming has a two year proclamation which is up for revision in 1991. It is not known whether Wyoming will go slang with this change or hot 4. It is suggested that ths trout limit fir Currant Creek (from Water Hollow Creek upstream to the headwaters, including til tributaries to Currant (keek Reservoir) be reduced from six trout to two trout Artificial flies and lures only. 5. On Currant (keek Reservoir it Is suggested ths trout limit be 8. This would replace 6 trout limit 6. It is suggested that the trout limit fir Janes Hole Creek be reduced from 6 trout (only 2 may be brown trout) to 2 trout with only one brown trout greater than 15 indies. . 7. On Red Creek Reservoir and its tributaries, it is suggested that the closure be changed ftom January 1 through 6:00 a.m. May 5. Also, the trout limit increased from 6 to 8.
