The twin sons of Korey and Gayla Abbott were blessed in the Duchesne Third Ward July 2. Kody Jay was blessed by his grandfather. Jay Abbott Kenyon John was blessed by his grandfather, Buddy j. Bird. Vernas other daughter, Tonya McGee and her three children, Malisa, Andy and Jared, and great grandson came from Weathford, Tex. A great grandson of Verna Bird, David Anthony Herring, son of Melissa and Steve Herring, also of Weathford, was blessed by his great grandfather. Buddy Bird. After meeting all ofthe family met at the home of Verna Bird for a barbecue. Present besides Buddy and Pauline Bird, were a great great grandmother, Stella Muse, all live children of Buddy and Verna, and thirteen grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The home of Jack and Vila Bleaz-ar- d was the setting of an open house for their granddaughter, Sherri, and John Holt, Friday July 14. Sherri is the daughter of Cedi and Carol Hanberg Bridgeland. Chet and Rachel Henderson spent several days in Evanston last week with their horse. Rachel Henderson and her three daughters, DiAnna Mecham, Kathy Scott and SueAnn Martin, spent four days in Yellowstone Park and Jackson Hole sightsee- by Orinda Gcc 738-26- 34 Neville Wimmer wu brought home Friday, July 14, after spending a month in the Cottonwood Hospital in Murray. Both Neville and Lilly expressed thanks to all of their friends for the cards, flowers and phone calls and prayers. Allen and Marilyn Moon and family, Orem; Phillip and Georgia Moon, Provo; Leon Moon, Provo; Hirhard and Norma Powell, South Jordan; Debbie and Wendell Moon and family, Coalville; Clinton and Donette Moon and family, all spent the July 4th weekend camping in Yellowstone. Clara Silers had knee surgery at the LDS Hospital July 12. She is the sister of Ruth KofTord. Clara lives in Talmage. Emmett and Dorothy Evans drove up to Preston, Idaho. They nccom panied Emmetts mother, and a sister, Vickie Donna Evans, Coons, West Jordan, to attend funeral services for an aunt, Phyllis Evans, in Downey. Kick and DiAnna Ross have moved back to New Jersey where they will be making their home. Rick has work there with AT&T. Mrs. Terry Wear and children, California, has been here spending some time visiting with her grandmother, Helen Nielson, LaMar and Carol Thomas and three children, Orem, spent Sun- day visiting with her mother, Zella Grant, and other family members. Harvey and Venla Gee went to salt Lake where they met with Venlas sister, Olena Tullgren, where they went on a senior citizen bus from Salt Lake to Evanston to attend the races. They also met Ruben and Emily Dotson of Minersville there. George and Verl Nelsons granddaughter in Salt Lake had an accident with her car. She was in the process of moving. Her grandparents went out and spent several days helping her move. Christine Nation spent a week in Ogden with her daughter, Patsy Marx and family. When she came home she stopped in Ogden and brought her Friday night as guests at the hone of Roy and Sylvia Holdaway, Orem. After spending the night, the went to Santiquin and visited friends and relatives, and met two old school friends, Mabel King and Hazel King Todd. They returned Sunday. Some other new projects include a floating campground on the lake, and improved river boat ramps at both Spillway and little Hole. Upcoming future attractions will include remodeling of the Red Canyon visitor center, and a new amphitheatre with picnic tables, boat dock, and fishing platform to be located by the Flaming Gorge Dam. Visitors to Flaming Gorge are continuing to' eijoy a warm dry summer of unlimited hiking; camping; boating and fishing opportunities. Visiter centers at both Rad Canyon and the Flaming Gorge Dam remain open from 9:30 ajn. through 5 p.m. daily, while the Manila office is open 7:80 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and 8 a.m. to 4730 pjn. on weekends. . |
