July 26 IW 19MI Seven seek Miss UBIC title in scholarship pageant August 2 Seven young ladies from Roosevelt, Neola, Lapoint, Duchesne and Vernal will vie for the opportunity to reign as Miss UBIC, as they compete in the annual scholarship pageant, scheduled this year for Wednesday, August 2, 7:30 p.m. at Union High School. Joining in the pageant competition are Brenda Buchanan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morlin Buchanan; Lianne Winterton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Winterton; Karrie McKinnon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott McKinnon; Lisa Bingham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Bingham; lillyan May, daughter of Mr. andMrs. Curtis May; Marcy Arrow- j chis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Arrowchis: And Nicole Carlson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nets Carlson. Tickets for the annual pageant can be purchased at the door, but plan to arrive early, as seating is limited. The annual Miss UBIC scholarship pageant offers these young ladies the experience of competing for scholarship money and the opportunity to represent the area during upcoming UBIC events, as well as the Miss Utah pageant next June.
