Those that were present, ware Mrs. Della Mower, Mrs. Mary Miller and Mrs. Della May Nelson and their children; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hansen; Mr. and Mrs. John Bass; Mrs. Delyae Ballon; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Haneen and their children; Mr. and Mrs. Art Sadler, Mrs. Baba Bewail; Mrs. Batty Bundle and her grandchildren; Mr. and Mrs. Nail Mr. and Mrs. Brian and children; Mrs. Wanda Dahl; Mr. and Mrs. Clay Dahl and children; Mr. and Mrs. Bart Mr. and Mrs. Corbin Mr. and Mrs. Layne Ben- nion; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Anderson and children, and Mrs. Maiy Bennion. They came from all over, had a great time, and alloyed vis-iting: Iva Markham, Gladys Bells mother, had the misfortune of breaking her ankle. She had surgery at LD8 Hospital. She is pending, some time at the Wasatch Villa convalescent home. She would like to be remembered by her friends. Lynn Gilbert, eon of LeGrand and Nancy, and husband of Denise, has been in the hospital last week having eome pine removed from hie legs. We send our beet wishes to him and his family. Leon and Rosalie Wilkins have had a large crowd of family members here to attend thamarriage of their daughter, Tamara, and Michael Gudmonson, both of Oakland, Calif. They were married in the Jordan River Temple. . Rosalies mother, Athlyn Luzier, Colorado Springs; Linda Sue and family, Lynchberg, VA and Marlon Wilckin and family, Mesa, were all hen. Tonnie Halle and her two children, 8am and Katy, spent the July 4 holiday at Cireleville visiting with her mom, Vi and John Wardle. Dave and Ruby Thomas spent the July 4 weekend camping at Yellowstone with his brother and sister-in-laMary and Elmer Thomas. Ada and Harold Thomas an also camping up their for a while. Dave Thomas was in Vernal Tuesday, July 12, checking with hia doctor regarding the surgery he had on the back of hia neck. My. and Mn. & G. Art had a bad mishap with hia chain saw and cut his hand. He said he spent three hours in emergency in the IDS hospital in Salt Lake. We wish him well. Ardelle Gillespie, Salt Lake, was out and apent the 4th of July with her folks, Or and Inei Swaaey. Mr. and Mra. Harold Gee were in Salt Lake July 5, where Harold kept a doctor appointment They apent a night at Max and Esther Gees, and a night with a niece, Devean and Wayne Smart, Sandy. They visited with several other friends, and apent time visiting with the Kenneth Curto family in Springville, and the Leon Smith family in Provo before returning home Saturday. Julia and Max Foibush and family, Farmington, apent the 4th of July viaiting with her folks, Edyth and Georgs Marett, and other fsmily members. Max and his sons, and one aon of Annette and Dennis Kay, went backpacking at Brown Duck Lake for a few days. Ann and Ted Palmer and family went to the Utah Summer Games in Cedar City. Their daughter, Nicole, entered into the Karate Kumite. She received the bronze medal, and was very pleased. The Or and Inez Swaaey family were hosts for their family reunion this year, held at their home July 8 and 9. They had 80 family members there, with 23 members not present, aa they were on missions or in the army. Leone Murdock was taken by ambulance to the Duchesne County Hospital Monday of thia laat week. She was treated and released. We wish her the very Fab-rizi- . . ' ns folks, Mr. and Mra. Roy Killpack, Perron, viaiting with them over laat weekend. They came for the ordination of their grandson, Ja- son, as he was made an Eldar. June 29 Helen Odekirk waa rushed to the Duchesne County Hospital, Roosevelt by her grandson, Jim Palmer. After a short examination, she waa placed in intensive can for a heart condition. Her aon, JaAiea Duka, waa at the hospital to meet her. She was released a week later, and has been at her sons home recovering. She ia now in Salt Lake with Della Mas Palmer. After keeping a doctor appointment there, she will return to her son's home in Roosevelt She would like to thank all her frienda for the thoughts and concern. We wish her well. Da Sanford, Talmage, ia in the Utah Valley Hospital.- - She is a aiater to Marie Ptope and Phebe Giles, Ogden. We wish her the Grant Mika and Jean Bleaxard had her . beat Adelle and Carl Pryor and sons came from Denver and apent several days viaiting with her folks, the George Maretts. Jeff and Kathy Maratt and family also flew in from Athena, GA., to visit with their folks, the Bob Peatrosa family and others. At the regular meeting of the Ducheane County Commission, held July 5, Commissioner LeGrand Gilbert acted aa designated chairman, in the absence of chairman Larry S. Rosa. Ray and Jean Roberta met briefly with the commission to request follow through with, a commitment to do some more graveling on the Argyll Canyon road. They feel that it has taken ' longer than it should to get the work done. They would also like to have the county check out the possibility of putting TV into the canyon. The commiaaionera informed them that Joe LeBeau will be doing aome research on the TV matter. After a discussion, it waa motioned and passed that before an individual other than a regular employee be allowed to pick up an employee paycheck, that there, must be a letter signed by the employee on file in the auditor! office authorising the same. A motion waa made and passed naming Jim Forakis, Max Roberta, Vem Roberta, Charles Kealar and Ron Muir aa Board of Trustees of the Fruitlahd Water andSewer District until such time that the first election ia held. Jim Forakia met briefly with the commission to request that the countydonateaomefundafor postage, etc., to help the Fruitiand Water and Sewer District until such time that they have collected some funds. The commiaaionera told them that they ahould pay for the miscellaneous expenses out of the money that they have started receiving for hookups. After reviewing; an application for a beer license for James Wilcox, to operate a small store in Nine Mile Canyon, waa approved. Greg Garff, building inspector, met with the commiaaion to report mi the hazardous materials class that he had recently attended on behalf of the county. He informed them that a committee needs to be formed that will be responsible to comply with the requirements ofTitle III which are mandated by federal law. Wea Dewanup from the division of comprehensive emergency management will be meeting with the county in the near fbture to help to organize the effort Richard Jensen met with the commiaaion to inform them of a proposal that he ia currently working on with another individual which will enhance the camping at Sand Wash Reservoir. are planning to put in an RV They park, restrooms, and trailer paces to try to encourage more tourists coming into the area. Richardhasbaen in touch with the Johnson Water District end has requested that they extend their water line to include the park at Sand Wash, which would have to be done in order to build the project.
