The announcement was made by Boy W. Simmons, Zions chairman of the board and chief executive officer. Mr. Runolfson, former manager of Zions St George office, will also manage the Vernal office, replacing Richard Acord, who has accepted a commercial lending position in the Salt Lake City head vice-presid- office. Lifetime Vernal resident, Terry Anderson, is assistant manager of the Vernal office, and of the an assistant bank. Beginning his career in 1961 with Zions predecessor bank, Bank of Vernal, Mr. anderson haa moved up through the ranks, holding positions of teller and loan officer prior to his current responsibilities. Mr. Anderson attended Utah State University and Brigham Young University. Active in qivic affairs, he has served as a Vernal City councilman for four years. Mr. Runolfson began hie career with Zions in 1973 at the Provo and Payson offices before becoming assistant manager of the St. Georgs office, and later of the St George office and its auto dealer finance center. He attended Utah Technical College, Dixie College and Brigham Young University, and graduated from the National Commercial Lending School, University of Oklahoma.' In addition he attended the Society of Real Estate Appraisers School, Houston. Runolfson' has held several Kiwanis dub officer positions, including president, lieutenant governor and UtahIdaho district governor. Local artists are encouraged to exhibit their artwork and make this the beet show thus far. Visitors to the show will be encouraged to cast a ballotfor their favorite artwork. Photography will also be included in the event When entering the art show, please limit entries to three pieces per artist All art works must be property finished and framed. Former prisoners of war, or next of kin to a deceased POW, may apply for tha medal by writing to the Military Records Center, or the service of which they were a part during their imprisonment The Salt Lake VA Medical Center would like to assist eligible POW in obtaining the medal. The medical center, in cooperation with others, plana a significant recognition ceremony some time in th e near future for the presentation of these medals. A specific date for thia ceremony will be announced as the plane become finalized. Applications for a medal may be obtained from Mrs. Jill Pierce, patient representative at the Salt Lake VA Medical Center.
