American Legion and Auxiliary News The American Legion, Post 64, Roosevelt, held its regular joint monthly meeting with representatives of the Legion Auxiliary December 4 at the Legion Barracks. Plans were finalized for the upcoming Christmas pot luck dinner, and party December 18, and also the New Year's dance was discussed. The Legion and Auxiliary Christk mas dinner and Christmas will start at 7 p.m. December party 18, and all Legion members and their families, including grandchildren and great grandchildren, are invited. Each family is requested to dish bring a family-siz- e (meat, casserole or dessert), and a child's Christmas present (unwrapped, one per adult), that will be given to any children in attendance, by Santa, who will be making a special appearance. Any leftover presents will be given to UBAG for Operation Santa, and each adult should bring one gift for a boy or a girl (a man brings a boys gilt, a woman a girl's gift). Entitles "Electric Celebration", this year's program will feature holiday recipes, decorating and gift ideas, tips on cooking with electricity, and a festive Christmas cookbook for all in attendance. The program will be presented at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 16 at the UP&L Ashley Service Center located at 183 south 500 East in Vernal. The program will be repeated at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 17 at the same location. The program will be under the direction of Kelly Lether, Ashley District Manager and Marilynn Manning, Home Economist for Utah Power and Light Company.
