July 29, 1987 HJJintah Life Basin Standard Andersen, Chasel and Jacobs wed Duvall to take vows Renee Chaael John and ' Ann Louise Andersen, daughter of Lloyd C. and Carma Andersen of Orem married Henry Chariton Jacobs IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chariton Jacobs III, of Mount Pleasant, and the late Fern Jacobs. The wedding waa performed in the Provo LDS Temple July 7. A of Roosevelt, announce the marriage of their daughter, Cindy, to Michael Duvall, ion of Neldon and Shirley Duvall of Salt Lake City. The ceremony and reception will be held in Salt Lake City on Friday, July SI. Another reception will follow in Rooaevelt on Saturday, August 1. All friend and relative are invited to attend. Cindy Chasel is a 1985 graduate of Union High School where she was active in cheerleading, drill-teaand was a member of the 'National Honor Society. She attended one year of college at the of Utah. She is University currently enrolled at PC Technical Institute in Salt Lake and will be graduating in August Michael Duvall is a 1985 graduate of Olympus High School. He has received honors in art and music. Michael is self employed in the painting, contracting business. Murdock clan 1 Betts and Ekola marry An open house will be given for Garn Lee and Tina Ekola Betts August 1, at the Moon Lake Electric Building from 7 to 9 p.m. An open invitation is extended to all friends, acquaintances, and relatives. No formal invitations are being mailed. ' Gifts are not necessary, but are accepted. The couple was married on July 21 at the West Jordan Temple. A wedding breakfast was served later for the couple and 38 guests. The breakfast was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Derhak of ; - Taylorsville. A reception was given by friends of the bride that evening at the Garden Spot Clubhouse in Orem. The couple left for a week long honeymoon to Indiana. They will return to their home in Orem where she will teach at Cherry Hill Elementary this winter and he will continue his work at Big 0 Tires in West Jordan. She is the daughter of Corey and Lori Murdock of Chelan, Washington. The .pageant is the official state preliminary to the National Little Star and Junior Star Pageant. Ten members were present to enjoy discussing current events ' pageants. Friday Juty 31 Sewing Club Friendship Club Community Events At A Glance The Altrus Club has long been a Roosevelt. Since the club was formed in 1915, the members have had. as their primary goal the improvement of the literay offerings of the community. Over the years the club has made annual donations to the libraries amounting to many hundreds of volumes. According to librarian, Glepda Killian, there have been years when the books donated by Altrus Club members were the only new books the library has received. Now, the Altrus Club has donated a table which will be used to display the talents of the residents of the county. It will feature a glass top and a locking system so the articles displayed wilt be safe. Items will be kept on display for a period of two weeks. The club invites anyone who has a craft or hobby item they would be willing to share to contact Jean Carina Win- Eldredge at or Maureen terton at Beljon at testants this month. Perry is in the Windfall band that backed up the Electric building on July 31. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. The open house will be from 7 to 9 p.m. The bride is a graduate of Orem High School and Seminary. She has also graduated from Utah Technical College and Brigham Young University. She la currently teaching elementary school in Roosevelt. Jacobs graduated from North Sanpete Schools, and served a LDS mission to the Gulf States. He is employed in Roosevelt. A bridal shower was held for the Jacobs. It was given by Carol Noll, Anita Peterson, Merrilyn Jensen, Ellen Banks, Pandy Andersen, Sue Wollstenhulmc, and Carma Andersen.
