DWR Doris Duerden and Allen Ming have won the first quarter aerobics challenge at Roosevelt Jr. High. This year the Jr. High instituted aerobics classes in physical education. The classes are taught by Lanis Dastrup and Brenda Osborne, the first and second periods of the day.' The aerobics course was chosen because it is a lifetime fitness skill. Unlike basketball and football, which are played only at certain "times of the year or certain times in a persons, life, aerobics can be done throughout ones lifetime. The teachers decided to have a quarterly fitness challenge. The classes challenge each other and another P.E. class. The loser buys the winner treats for a party. and Sixth grade winners in the Roosevelt Flag Football League were the Cougars.
