Anderson were married November 27 in Elko, Nevada. An open house will be held Saturday, December 11, at the Guy and Dolly Lindsay residence in Talmage. They invite all relatives and friends to attend. The bride is the daughter of Guy and Dolly Lindsay. She is a graduate of Altamont high school where she was active in FHA, Pep dub, and Drill team. The bridegroom is the son of Theo and Antoinette Anderson, Duchesne. Tony is a Duchesne high school graduate. He is presently employed the Hawaiian trip. This independent sales dealer, who is one of the top 700 Avon Representatives to win out of 450,000 nationwide, is currently vying to win a second Hawaiian trip or cash award during the second phase of this sales drive. Holgate was honored by her family and friends at a 82 birthday Open House on Saturday November 27, at the home of her daughter and Betty Lee and Chad R. Evans, Roosevelt, where she resides. Mrs. Holgate was bom in Vernal to Joseph S. and Nancy Jane Hamilton Nielson in 1901. She moved with her family to Red Cap (Arcadia) Utah in 1910. Following her schooling in son-in-la- w and Roosevelt she was at the Roosevelt Hospital owned by Dr. Martin. Later she assisted her mother, Nancy Jane, who in caring for was a nurse and the sick in the area. 8he married A. Hale Holgate January 1, 1920 in Arcadia. The marriage was solemnised in the Salt Arcadia employed mid-wif- Lake Temple May 1921. They owned a farm in Arcadia and Mr. Holgate also worked for Utah State Department of Agriculture. At the present time she is serving as special Interest representative for Roosevelt Second Ward. Mrs. Holgate has spent most of her life in ihe Uintah Basin except from 1972 to 1980 when she resided in LaGrande, Oregon. Many friends and relatives attended the Open House. Again this year the program will be held at Park West On December 11 there will be fitting sessions. In Roosevelt the fitting will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Vocational Center. A fitting will be held the same afternoon in Duchesne The cost for the program is $131 for those students planning to take lessons. For those not taking lessons the cost is $107. Ski rental, which is not included in those costs, is $6 per person per rental. Skiing will begin January 15 and continue on the 29, February 12, 26, and March 5 and 12. The deadline for signing up for the program is December 20. at 3:00. Those interested in Altamont should plan on attending either of the fitting sessions. Those planning to participate in the program are encouraged to be fitted for skis because it makes the first day at Park West much easier. Involvement Seminar set tor parents A seminar designed to increase parent involvement in education has been scheduled in the Ute Tribal Auditorium for December 8, 9, and 10. The event began Wednesday, December 8, at 9:00 a.m. with representatives of the Ute Tribe Head Start Program. The welcome was given by Floyd Wopaock. Also speaking were G. Mt Lion, who gave introduction of the staff. The staff includes Josea Kramer, Director of the Head Start Program and PPC Glenna Wilson. Ina Chapoose. Carol Ebright, Joyce Thompson, and Flora Cuch are also in the staff. From noon until 1 p.m. was lunch with Alice Paul speaking at 1:30 p.m. There was also evening entertainment Thursday's session will deal with the Johnson OMalley program. The welcome will be given at 9 a.m. by Marietta Reed aim Katherine Jenks. The opening remarks will be given by Lester Chapoose with the mtroduc- tion of the staff by Irene Cuch.
