Show Chad Mullins promoted by mortgage banking firm Chad Mullins became the President and Chief Operating Officer of Western Mortgage Loan Corporation Jan. 1. The announcement was made by John B. Goddard, President of the Utah-basemortgage banking company since its founding in 1950. Goddard will remain as Chairman of the Board. Mullins, 86, had most, recently been in the income property loan department, where he placed financing for over $100 million of commercial real estate. Under his direction, the department expanded into Colorado, Idaho and Nevada. Chad Mullins came to Western in 1975 with a Harvard MBA degree and extensive experience with West Coast construction and development firms. Western Mortgage was founded by John B. Goddard and some associates in 1950. The company has grown to the largest mortgage company in the intermountain west; servicing, with affiliates, over $1.25 billion in loans in four states. Western is now ranked d and graduated from Union high school in 1963 as class salutatorian. Tractors on U.S. farms are fewer, bigger, and more expensive than in years past. At the beginning of 1980, the average tractor on U.S. farms was estimated at 57 hp, up from 44 hp. in 1970.
