Show 3 Cleggs to observe 60th anniversary BIA realty officer retires Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Clegg, formerly of Tabiona, will be honored at an open house in observance of their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were married at Strawberry. Utah, on Armistice Day, Nov. 11,1918. The open house will be held Friday, Nov. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Fern Crocker, 10875 Challenge Blvd., La Mesa, Calif. 92041. I Do! returns . to Roosevelt stage Adelyn H. Logan, Realty Officer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs st the Uintah and Ouray Agency, has retired, effective Oct. 1, after 84 years of service. She joined her husband on the Ute Reservation in 1944, and after yielding to then Superintendent Stone's plea to "help us out during the winter,'' she began her career with the Ute Indians. With a background of law and counting, she held positions in the financial area, but with the advent of oil and gas development in the Uintah Basin, she wu appointed Law Clerk, to assume responsibility for the leasing of trust Indian lands. In 1961, she was appointed Realty Officer, one of the first, if not the first woman to achieve this status on a reservation level. She represented the Bureau for four years on the Oil Shale Environmental Advisory Panel, a group. During her career, she has also been very active in numerous civic, philanthropic and charitable organizations, ranging from the local, to the national level. She has been identified with the Utah and General Federation of Women's Clubs, the Business and Professional Women's Clubs, and the National Association of Parliamentarians. For the past three years, she served as Parliamentarian for the national conventions of the National Congress of American Indians, and has taught Parliamentary Law to various groups. Mrs. Logan was honored at a farewell luncheon by her fellow Bureau employees, and by the Ute Tribe, who presented ha with s gift inscribed, In appreciation for your outstanding work with the Ute Indian Tribe, from the Ute People and Friends of the Tribe."
