Thursday The County Adult Education graduation begins at 7 p.m. on June 5 in Blanding. Approximately 78 graduates are scheduled to receive diplomas. They will be addressed by Steve Jensen. There will be five graduates ofthe Blue Mountain Academy in San Juan County Jail this year. Their graduating ceremony begins at 7 p.m. on June 7. Featured speaker will be Bruce Bushore and two members of the graduating class. Accident on 191 Two passengers in a Chevy Malibu were injured when they had a head-o- n collision with a semi truck on May 24 near the Monticello Airport on U.S. Highway 191. According to Utah Highway Patrol troopers, the driver of Monticello City Councilman Evan Lowry inspects repairs to a water collection pipeline in North Creek the Malibu may have fallen Canyon. The pipe had burst and was spilling water into the creek bed. In addition, upstream collecasleep, drifted across the lane, tion points on the pipeline had filled with silt. Lowry estimates that a series of repairs to the system and hit by the semi truck. Staff photo has doubled the city intake of water in this drought year. MOTOR VEHICLE, ASSESSOR OFFICE AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT EXTENDED SUMMER HOURS Beginning Monday, June 3, the Assessors Office and Motor Vehicle Office will be open for extended hours. During the months of June, July and August, 'the new office hours will be 8 am to 6 pm. Those who work until 5 pm will now have the time to come in and license their vehicles or get building permits without taking off work.
