Show 7 L space for a slumber party, (and you thought all that giggling and noise was the end of the world!) a birthday party for Grandma Evelyn Bradshaw, and a family gathering of the Thayn and Adair families. And that was just this weekend. Two weekends ago, the very large Harris family held a family reunion. Once folks finally exhaust themselves and while they rest so their sides will quite aching, it is time for the fireworks. Yes, La Sal even has fireworks for July 4th. The display is put on by the local fire department. They nfay not be large and spectacular like those in "town, but there is never a lack of oohs and aahs. Supper time brings the folks together at the Community Center for a good old country pot luck dinner. Nothing better than country cooking. This is followed by a patriotic program with speeches and music. It reminds folks of the reason behind the Independence Day Community Center really comes in handy for feeding the celebration.
