Now, with a new awareness of the battle and two recently published articles about it, the Grand County Historical Preservation Commission, Utah State Historical Society, and other interested persons are working to renovate and rededicate the site. The work will include a new, more appropriate sign, renovating the monument and rock wall that surrounds the graves, and road, trail and parking area restoration. The event will be recognized with a short program, displays including maps and pictures, and refreshments.
