1 OF A JILTED LOVER idaho man shoot four people and then ends hie own life boise ida A sensational tragedy occurred here monday morning hen ry the principal in the affair dead with a bullet through the head fired by his own hand and four victims of his maniacal dedire to bill are in the hospital these are 01 lie powell aged 23 if fering from seven buckshot wounds one of which Is in the right lung mrs roberta gray buckshot in the hip ranging into the abdomen lafayette gray aged 21 son of the preceding six buckshot one in the abdomen one in the right temple right arm broken and three fresh wounds lillian gray slater of lafayette 18 year of age flesh wound in right arm and rigan side the three first named are in a serious condition ie a klondyke KIon dyke mining man and Is estimated to be worth any where from to until 1897 he lived at caldwell this of a laae f conald erable property BHe wa a hard work j fil www and was highly respected in he went to the klondyke KIon dyke and prospered there he was attached to the powell girl a daughter of john powell of caldwell and furnished the money for her edu cation she had promised to marry him but it had been put off from time to time in november he came from alaska to clam her at that time he gave her some fl for trousseau the time was set tor the wedding but the night before she left home with lafayette gray coming to balse and registering with him as man and wife returned to klondyke KIon dyke coming back to balse january 17 but kept well out of eight from a great cumber of letters left by him it Is evident be had carefully planned the crime
