What is the purpose behind all this good cheer? Is it because Santa comes to town and that everyone gets new clothes and presents? Do we celebrate just because we like to have parties and that we need a break from the winter blues? Or is there a deeper meaning hidden behind all the commercialism that no one seems to think of much? In Sunday School I learned that it was because of the birth of Christ, even though he does seem to be shoved back into the back- - 1b . By SFC Phil Hale Wow, is this the last paper of the year already? . What a year! Many changes everywhere this year, in people. . . equipment. . . and the landscape. Too many to list in this one column. WeTl take a look at 1984, the year we all survived despite George Orwells grim prediction and take a peek Springs. Take the initiative, and be responsive for your actions. Drunk drivers violate the law. Stiff fines, jail terms and loss of driving privileges are the legal consequences.
